Join us First Friday as we feature the work of ceramic artist Leola Rutherford of Girdwood. Her one-of-a-kind Mud Banks are functional as banks and are adoptable and adorable monsters as well. We also have large bowls, salmon platters, salmon yarn bowls which are a knitter’s delight, moose spoon rests, and brown sugar keepers. Refreshments and a door prize drawing.

Join us this Friday as Sarah Holm showcases her simple, small, affordable yet elegant glass bowls. There will be many from which to choose–some of them even nest! She’ll also have some larger one-of-a-kind bowls with her in addition to the fine selection of cheese trays, sushi plates and other items we already have in the store. Come by and visit with Sarah–discover what inspires her. We’ll serve refreshments and have a door prize drawing as well.

We are keeping our doors open longer so you have time to shop! Monday December 13th through the 18th and also December 20th through the 23rd we’ll be open 10 am to 8 pm for your shopping convenience. On Friday the 17th Charlie Hunt and Nancy Bayer will be performing contra dance music from 6 to 8 pm. On Saturday the 18th Downtown Fairbanks will be filled with Festive Solstice Activities to welcome the return of the sun. And on Tuesday December 21st accordion duo Louise and Rebecca will play holiday favorites from 5 until 7 pm. Come downtown and join in the fun!
Annual Candlelight First Friday Event
Friday December 3rd from 5 to 8 pm
Join us in celebrating all the wonder of the December holidays as we hold our annual candlelight shopping event during First Friday. At 5:00 we’ll turn off the overhead lights, and the store will be bathed in candlelight. See the magic of the season shine! Jaunelle Celaire will play keyboard from 6 to 8 pm. We’ll be serving up samples from our Specialty Food Collection and you can register for a doorprize.

Join us First Friday from 5 to 8 as we roll out our 2010 Specialty Foods Collection. Bigger and better than ever, this is a chance to stock up on artisanal food items not available anywhere else at our latitude! From preserves, crackers and salts to chocolate, teas, cranberries and nuts, you’ll find a variety of items for yourself and for giftgiving during the upcoming season. Taking the Light First Friday Event

Meet featured artist Patricia Carlson as she debuts her fall collection of gorgeous overdyed velvet scarves. Patricia can explain her process and you can choose from a large selection of new scarves she’s produced especially for this event.
