Meet featured artist Patricia Carlson as she debuts her fall collection of gorgeous overdyed velvet scarves.   Patricia can explain her process and you can choose from a large selection of new scarves she’s produced especially for this event.  We’ll have refreshments and a door prize drawing as well, so be sure to stop by.

 Join us First Friday as we feature the work of Connie Engelbrecht of Brecht Studio in Eagle River.  Connie designs and creates sand etched glass light catchers and tiles with images inspired by life in Alaska.   A number of custom pieces will be available for purchase during the First Friday event.

We’ll serve coffee and scones early in the day so you can come by, see and touch the new colors, and be the first to be introduced to a terrific new palette of color. Join us during the Midnight Sun Festival for our annual Solstice Sidewalk Sale.  The sale begins at noon and ends in the late evening.  Everything on the sale tables will be 40% off.  It’s your chance to purchase some fabulous items and save!  Selection is best at the very beginning of the sale, but we’ll add items as the day goes on.

 Join us First Friday and  travel to the far reaches of the globe as you taste exotic teas and tisanes from our tea bar!  We’ll sample a variety of iced and hot teas from Sipping Streams Tea Company of Fairbanks and Sterling Tea of Rockwall, Texas.  Both companies choose their own ingredients and blend their own teas.   Jenny Downer of Sipping Streams will be with us to share a wealth of  information about tea during the first half of our tea tasting.  We’ll have refreshments and a door prize drawing to round out the evening.

 Join us First Friday when we showcase our Made in Alaska selections for the season.  From great grilling spices to wood carvings of our fine feathered friends, from handcrafted jewelry by some of Alaska’s finest artists to pressed botanicals and qiveut smoke rings, we have a great selection which will appeal to locals and visitors alike.   Several local artists will join us for the evening, so  come by to meet them and see their handiwork.  We’ll offer a 10% discount on all Alaska Made items between 5 and 8 pm.

 Join us First Friday for live folk music performed by singer/songwriter Susan Grace.  Susan sings many of our favorite songs from traditional tunes and folk revival classics to her own compositions.  Her latest CD, Come Into The Light, was released in February, and contains songs of gratitude and joy.     CDs  are available for sale, and Susan will provide autographs during the event.  Refreshments and door prize drawing.
