Join us as we debut handcrafted jewelry from several new Alaskan artists in addition to showcasing new pieces from several of our favorites such as Converging Traditions, Judie Gumm and Catherine Joan Petersen.  We have new several styles which will appeal to men.   We’ll serve refreshements and you’ll have an opportunity to sign up for a door prize drawing.

 On January 19th you can color your world with spring fabrics.  Come by the store and see the new Vera Bradley colors and styles for yourself.  Ellie Blue, Camellia, and Rosy Posies are featured in our vignettes, but don’t slight Island Blooms just because it’s 30 below!  You can take these delicious colors with you to Hawaii or just pack them in your car to thaw out your trip to Fred Meyer.  We have fabulous new styles for you in both the new colors and ones we’re fond of from the past.

 We are pleased to debut Spiritiles to the Fairbanks community as our feature on First Friday January 6, 2012.  Spiritiles are designed and created by Houston Llew of Atlanta, Georgia.  Molten glass on copper, they can stand alone or hang on a wall.  They never fade or tarnish and bring liminous imagery to life with timeless ideas on their golden sides.  We’ll have 32 different spiritiles on display for this event.

Shop our 40% off sale!  The sale includes Specialty Foods, Holiday Merchandise, Retiring Vera Bradley and a few of our favorite things!  It’s a great time to stock up on wonderful food items and pick up ornaments and decor that you’d like to add to your holiday collection.

Saturday December 17, we’ll be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for your shopping convenience.  Sunday December 18, our hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and December 19 through 23 we’ll continue to be open until 8 p.m.  Join us on Solstice (Wednesday the 21st) for accordion music from 5 – 7 p.m.  Louise Kowalski and Rebecca Morse team up to play some of their favorite holiday classics.  Friday evening December 23rd, Brayana Jeannet will perform on classical harp from 6 to 8 p.m.

We’re open late on Fridays for your shopping convenience.  On December 9,  Dave Schlesinger will play keyboard from 5-7 p.m.  He’ll be performing  jazz and holiday tunes while you shop.  Shop between 5 and 8 and enter our door prize drawing.

 An If Only. . . Signature Event!  Join us for our annual First Friday candlelight shopping experience.  The store becomes magical as we turn off the overhead lights and light candles for a delightful ambience.  Rebecca Morse will play carols and tunes on an antique Estey Pump Organ; we will serve refreshements, have a door prize drawing, plus there will be other surprises.   This is a night of festive holiday fun that sets the tone for December holiday lights and the magic of the season.

 You are cordially invited to attend our annual First Friday event with guest artist, Pauline Lian.  Pauline will bring a number of one-of-a-kind and special editions, both matted and framed with her.  She’ll also have her flower presses and tools  and will talk with you about her process.  We’ll be serving food samples from our Specialty Food Collection for 2011, plus there’ll be the usual door prize drawing.

 Join us as we showcase our Specialty Food Collection for 2011.  Each year we hand pick our selection from a variety of artisanal products.  Several are award winning and all are beyond tasty.  From chocolates and salts, pasta and natural pasta sauce which need no extra punch, to crackers and dips, and flavors to embibe, we have it all!  We’ll be sampling during the event and will have our traditional door prize drawing as well.  An If Only Signature Event–we roll out the red carpet for you!
