Girard Studio Fine Art Prints

IMG_4203Fine art wood blocks feature Alaskan birds and animals, from the majestic moose to the flitting chickadee, bohemian waxwing, and ubiquitous raven.  Francois Girard moved to Alaska in 1993.  He began to paint the birds and animals around him and now shares these wood blocks with us.

Kathy Dietrich CHB 2016 1Join us First Friday for an evening focused on handmade books. Featured works by Linda Adamson, Susan Campbell, Kathy Dietrich, Gayle Hazen, Laurel Herbeck, Susheila Khera, Margo Klass, Mary Maisch, Oralee Nudson, Connie Stricks, Corlis Taylor and Ashley Thayer. Demonstrations by members of the Northwoods Book Arts Guild. Refreshments, door prize drawing.

Inspired by Nature Friday August 5, 5-8 pm

Laura Zindel.2Join us First Friday for the debut of Laura Zindel’s ceramics. The show features handmade serving pieces as well as dishwasher safe mugs and sauce dishes. All of Laura’a pieces combine her passion for ceramics and naturalist illustrations. You’ll find owls, chickadees, nests, ferns and dragonflies in this mix. We take custom orders for these pieces. Laura Zindel works together with her husband and a small group of artisans out of her studio in southern Vermont.

Join us as we feature the designs and products of a hip young company operating out of an old warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. They take greeting Easy,Tiger Cardscards into the 21st century with their clever designs. Taking the best from tradition they create trendy fun and fanciful products you’ll want in your own cache. For our evening event we’re featuring greeting cards, barware, tableware and glassware. If you’re headed to Lavelle’s Taphouse, then this is a sure stop on your way to an evening of FUN!
