Cold, Cold, and More Cold
7 January 2009 It’s not really the depth of the cold but the length of it that begins to take its toll. If I have to strain to see through the ice fog one more day, I don’t know what I’ll do. Maybe just go inside, grab some hot tea and a good book, cuddle up in a huge pile of polar fleece and wait until the light and warmth return. Shucks, any Alaskan worth his or her salt knows these are the days that balance out for all our wonderful days and nights of summer light. That’s what we have to remind ourselves every hour of this pesky cold snap. But cheer up, Mike Schultz says a warming trend is on its way!
And speaking of warming, you can come on in to the store and warm up to our sale that is still going on. There are several of our favorite things at a healthy discount so we can make room for the new products we’ll order at market in a few weeks. Treasures and surprises await you, so don’t delay! Do remember that as of January 1st we changed to Winter hours which are Monday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm. We’re closed on Sundays from now through May. Hope to see you soon!
